Announcements:
Hey Hockey Fans!
US Olympic Coach and Wisconsin Badger Women's Coach
Mark Johnson, along with the Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association, would
like to invite girls in this age group to a free 2-hour skills and
drills clinic. Players will experience drills that the Badger and
Olympian women train with, under the coaching skills of Mr. Johnson.
This skills/drills clinic will take place on Saturday, May 8, 2010,
from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Capitol Ice Arena in Middleton, Wisconsin. In
order to reserve a spot in the clinic, girls must register at the
wahahockey.com
web site beginning April 22. (Remember to renew your USA Hockey
registration as of 5/1/10 to be covered.) On-ice coaching staff will
include Coach Mark Johnson, Coach Bob Suter (both of these men also
played together on the Miracle team of 1980 fame!), and Coach Doug
Johnson, head coach of the Madison Capitols Girls U16 team during the
2009-10 season (his team advanced to the quarter-finals at the recent
Tier 1 National tournament).
Parents - If you have never had the opportunity to
observe Coach Johnson running a practice, you will NOT want your
daughter to miss this experience and you will want to stick around the
rink to watch. You will quickly see why his teams experience the
success that they do. What a privilege our daughters have to have Coach
Mark Johnson right here in Wisconsin and offering this generous
opportunity to them! I do not know if spots are limited so be sure to
get registered right away.
Reminder to all coaches/managers: Confirm all games at least 24 hours
before the game. There are too many times when, due to a
scheduling error, one of the teams is unaware of a game. Have a
great season!
~~~~~
Coaches, Scorekeepers, Referees: This is a reminder that the WMHL
has a THREE penalty rules If you have questions concerning this,
see Rules/Policies.
